The area is predominantly agricultural with viniculture being the most important industry.
Contact has been maintained in a variety of ways since the link between our two towns was formalised. There have been regular exchanges between Ludlow School and schools in the San Pietro area. Individuals from both towns have formed friendships and visited each other. Students have been able to make contacts to stay with families for extended visits and San Pietro sent a delegation to the very successful 1996 Food and Drink Festival, and will be here again this year.
The Ludlow San Pietro Twinning Association is an independent organisation run by the Management Committee which meets five or six times a year at The Bull Hotel. All members of the organisation are entitled to attend the AGM (usually in April) and stand for election onto the management committee. The committee aim to keep members informed of any important activities taking place and to organise at least one social event a year for all members and friends.
