Helen, Mark and Dave take off on a side-shoot from their work together in Burden of Paradise with Snake Davis. Their music is hard to classify – it’s a mix of folk, blues, ballads, dance, rock, country and more. Expect lots of original material in an eclectic mix of songs and grooves, played and sung in a most engaging way. Verdi’s opera, sung in English and accompanied by Mid Wales Opera Chamber Orchestra. The cast of singers assembled by new artistic director Nicholas Cleobury bring fantastic voices to the colourful array of characters, and with Verdi’s lyrical melodies and sparkling orchestration, this opera is a joy.
