In the late 18th century, Britain led the development of slavery as an industry. Slavery is viewed through the eyes of a black woman living in grandeur in London. In searching for answers as to her status and treatment the lecture traces the images of slavery by famous contemporary artists whose work may be the stirrings that changed social attitudes and led to the anti-slavery and abolitionist movement.
